There's so much to do on Gibson Island!

ART GALLERY

The Island Gallery is located at the Clubhouse. Shows rotate monthly and feature artwork by Club Members and invited artists. Artwork is available for purchase. Visit our online gallery, too!

Bocce

Our Bocce Court is located between the Clubhouse and the Cottages, overlooking the Bay.

Cards

Club Members enjoy playing Bridge, Canasta and Poker with friends weekly at the Clubhouse or the Boathouse.

CROQUET

Our beautifully manicured croquet lawn is located on the Chesapeake Bay side of the Clubhouse, adjacent to the pool. Sunday clinics and several tournaments are offered throughout the season.

Fitness Center

Located at the south end of the Boathouse, our Fitness Center features a full range of cardio and strength training equipment for Fitness Members and their guests.

Garden Club

The Gibson Island Garden Club was established in 1926 by Residents of the Island who wanted to share their enthusiasm and knowledge of gardening and to protect and enhance the natural beauty of the community. Garden Club members meet monthly and enjoy field trips and educational programs throughout the State of Maryland. Member of the Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland - District II Southern Maryland.

Golf

Golf Members have the opportunity to play one of the most beautiful courses in the area. Designed by Charles Blair Macdonald and Seth J. Raynor, our award-winning 9-hole course has mature trees lining the fairways and rolling topography that afford opportunities for a great variety of interesting golf holes. Seasonal Golf Members have unlimited access to the course, along with a practice range to perfect their game. Lessons, clinics, tournaments as well a well-stocked golf shop are available.

Historical Society

The Salty Marks House & Museum, run by Historical Society Members, houses a wealth of information about the Island's history as well as a wonderful collection of artifacts from around the Island and surrounding Chesapeake Bay area.

Mountain Bar Point & Pavilion

At the southernmost tip of the Island where the Magothy River and the Chesapeake Bay meet, is a strip of sandy beach with views of the Bay Bridge in the distance - an ideal spot for a picnic or family barbecue. Members can rent the Pavilion for family gatherings or parties.

Pool & Playground

Overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, the pool is open seasonally to Club Members. Locker Rooms and a Snack Bar are just steps away in the Clubhouse. Our shaded playground is adjacent to the pool area.

Skeet Range

Club Members can enjoy our Skeet Range. Organized shoots and clinics are offered.

St. Christopher by the Sea

Our non-denominational and Member-directed Church welcomes all Club Members and Island Residents for worship.

Tennis - Paddle - Pickleball

Our racquets facility features six hydro-tennis courts, two asphalt courts, two platform tennis courts and a well-appointed Pro Shop. Private and group lessons as well as clinics are available.

Yacht Squadron & Boat Works

Peaceful Red House Cove, Light House Dock, and the Gibson Island Harbor, are perfect places for our members to moor or dock their boat. Gibson Island Yacht Squadron Members enjoy a beautiful Boathouse with exquisite views of the Chesapeake Bay and the Gibson Island Harbor. Members participate in sanctioned YC races, Wednesday race night, organized cruises, boating education courses, and the Junior Fleet program. Located in Red House Cove, Gibson Island Boat Works is a full service yacht yard with a professional staff ready to work on any project big or small.

Youth Activities

Our younger Members enjoy a variety of activities to share with their friends and family throughout the year! Gibson Island Club Camp is a summertime tradition for children age 3 & up! Programming in tennis, golf and sailing is also available. A large outdoor playground and a Children's Room in the Clubhouse are favorite gathering places.
