Race for the Broom – September 18

The 56th Race for the Broom was held on the Magothy River on September 18th followed by a party at the boat house.  The Sailing Club of the Chesapeake won the racing 3-0.

The Broom Race is an annual team race with the Sailing Club of the Chesapeake.  It is currently sailed in 210s.   Gibson Island won 3-2 in 2009.
